Books by Richard “The Mouse” Williams

These aren’t books written from theory.

They come from lived experience — years on the frontline, working with people in real situations, and doing the work personally, not just talking about it.

What you’ll find here is straight language, real insight, and work that actually translates into everyday life.

No overcomplication. No hiding behind jargon. No pretending this is easy.

Just honest work — done properly.

Shadows of the Past – Shadow Work Workbook

There’s a part of you that already knows what’s been repeating — the same reactions, the same patterns, the same outcomes… just wearing different faces.

This workbook helps you slow that down and actually see it.

Not from the outside, but from within — where your responses are formed before you even realise you’ve made them. As you move through the pages, you’ll begin to notice things you hadn’t fully seen before… patterns that once felt automatic starting to make sense.

And when something starts to make sense, it becomes something you can work with.

Stop circling the same patterns and start understanding them.
If you’re ready to do the work — properly — this is where it begins.
Start now. No more avoiding it.

Shadows of the Past – Unravelling the Forgotten

Most people think they’ve moved on.

But if you pay attention — not just to what you say, but to what you do, how you react, what you tolerate — you’ll start to see that parts of the past don’t disappear… they adapt.

This book brings those quieter influences into focus.

As you read, you may find yourself recognising moments, behaviours, or thoughts that suddenly click into place — not in a heavy way, but in a way that makes things clearer than they’ve been before.

And clarity changes how you move.

What’s been shaping your life hasn’t gone anywhere — it’s just been quiet.
Face it, understand it, and take your control back.
If you’re ready to see it clearly, this is your next step.

Amelia’s Mindfulness

Most people don’t realise how far ahead of themselves they’ve gone — constantly thinking, planning, reacting — rarely actually being where they are.

This book gently brings you back.

Not by forcing anything, but by helping you notice what’s already there — your breath, your body, the space around you… the parts of your experience that don’t need to be fixed, just recognised.

And as you slow things down, even slightly, you may begin to feel something shift — a bit more space, a bit more steadiness, a bit more control over how you respond.

You don’t need more noise — you need space to breathe again.
Slow it down, steady yourself, and come back to where you actually are.
Take a breath. Then take this step.

About the Author

Richard “The Mouse” Williams is the founder of Really Healed, a trauma-informed practice built on the belief that real change comes from understanding, not avoidance.

With over 20 years’ experience across addiction services, homelessness, and frontline care — including senior leadership roles in some of the busiest services in Ireland — his work is grounded in reality, not theory.

What sets Richard apart is simple: he doesn’t just teach this work — he’s lived it.

His approach combines professional training, lived experience, and a direct, no-nonsense style that cuts through the noise and gets to what actually works. No fluff. No overcomplication. Just clear insight and practical tools that people can apply in real life.

Everything he writes, teaches, and delivers is built around one core principle:

If you understand what’s going on, you can change how you move.
